Trippin' the Riff, a brain storm of founding members Joe Calangelo and Russ Ratcliffe, became a full fledged band with the addition of Eric Stadler on Bass and John Daner on Drums. Other bass players that have sat in include Don Decena of "The Vogues", Dana Burkhart of "The Catch Blues Band", Ed Couture of "Smoke Daddy and the Crawfish", Rich Gooch of "Easy Street" and Mike Tully of "Playback"and Jeff Tappe "Smoke Daddy". Drummers who have sat in are Gary Roeder (the fifth member), Jim Meister and Greg "Mongo" Porter. It's not uncommon for local musicians to show up unannounced and sit in! That List includes: Jeff Tappe on trumpet (Smoke Daddy), Jon Banko on Sax, Mark Denham on percussion, and list goes on! C'mon out and have some fun with the "Riff"
