From the heart of Pittsburgh come the Rooftop Trio, an adventurous threesome dedicated to the infectious art of the groove. The Trio formed officially when Adam entered a blues guitar contest and needed
an audition tape. At the Thunderbird Café in Lawrenceville, whose picturesque roofs gave the Rooftop Trio their name, the three laid down Cream’s “Outside Woman Blues” for a live recording. Ultimately the contest was cancelled, but out of it the Rooftop Trio was born. The Rooftop Trio plays well just about anywhere, be it a bar, seated venue, festival, or even on the street. They wear formal attire to give the set a feeling of timelessness and class, and the music is original, interspersed with various covers, some faithfully rendered, some wildly reworked. Never satisfied to be dismissed to the background, the Rooftop Trio is heard best at full volume, and is seen best on your feet with your hands in the air.
