About The Last Grimoire:
Hello,We are The Last Grimoire. (Pronounced Grimmwar)
Thank you for visiting our site. The Grimoire is an
ancient spell book. Read on! We formed Feb. 2006 in Washington, PA. Since then we have moved our base to Steubenville, OH. Band members
are Coty Ammons, drums; Jon Bails, lead guitar and vocals;Gary Balser, rhythm guitar; Rich Foust, bass and vocals. We play original hard rock. Our influences are in metal, punk, alt. rock, rock n' roll, jazz, and the blues. The band formed with the intention of creating original hard rock music that delves into our wide range of influences. the band has developed an authentic sound that is a thunderous blend of metal power chords on top of heavy compact bass lines backed by a distinctive fusion of jazz and metal drum patterns. Bassist Rich Foust and lead guitarist Jon Bails are both featured vocalists. Both have contrasting styles that compliment the temperament of the songs in which they sing. The band uses odd timing signatures to take listeners on a musical and emotional rollercoaster as well as having a traditional metal and punk sound. After forming in 2006, The Last Grimoire spent all of that year forming the Grimoire sound and writing material. In April of 2007
the band played its first gig at Boomerangs in Indiana, PA.
We spent the rest of that year playing local venues around the upper Ohio Valley where we make our homes. In 2008 the  band continued to develop their sound and steadily gained a local following. Bigger and better venues would follow around the area. We have been featured on Dan Janssen's
(owner and founder of 2/20 productions) Slave to the Metal Music Festival three times giving us the opportunity to work with Mistress Juliya, Fuse TV personality and host of the weekly show Let It Rock, and Jenn City bassist for the band Kittie.
We are currently establishing the band as a regional act focusing on the tri-state area of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. With hard work and a little luck we would eventually like to establish a national following and then take on the world! We are always setting up shows.
