About City Dwelling Nature Seekers:
City Dwelling Nature Seekers was spawned from the creative songwriting of Michael McCormick. McCormick assembled the rest of the band in early 2008 from friends and colleagues while attending Duquesne University. The band learned songs from McCormick’s huge catalog of original material, which ranges from up-tempo bluegrassy numbers to beautiful ballads, always with an emphasis on memorable melodies. City Dwelling Natures Seekers honed in on their distinct sound while performing weekly at downtown Pittsburgh’s posh Milano’s bar. Recently, the band has expanded their repertoire and is currently playing in various local venues in the Pittsburgh area. In late 2009, they released a six-song EP, which is available on CDBaby and iTunes, and are in the process of recording their debut full-length. The lead single from the EP, “Will and a Way” has been featured on WYEP’s Local News showcase, as well as Pittsburgh City Paper’s online MP3 Monday feature.
